PROCESS
Every tattoo begins with a conversation. My process is structured yet open, designed to create space for collaboration, intuition, and trust.
1. Initial Contact
The process starts with a written inquiry. Rather than focusing on fixed ideas, I encourage collectors to share thoughts, references, emotions, or experiences they want to build from. This gives insight into both visual direction and personal context. Each request is reviewed individually. I work selectively to ensure every project aligns with my approach.
2. Concept & Direction
Once accepted, we establish a shared direction. This stage is about alignment, identifying mood, scale, placement, and underlying intention. My work is not based on pre-drawn flash or replicated motifs. The design develops through interpretation, drawing from contemporary art, design principles, and the body itself.
3. Design on the Body
Most designs are developed directly on the body on the day of the session. This allows the tattoo to respond organically to anatomy, movement, and flow. This approach ensures each piece remains entirely custom, created for one individual and one context only.
4. The Tattoo Session
The session is calm and focused. Space is given for presence, precision, and adaptation as the work takes shape. The process is collaborative but guided. Sessions take place at my Zurich studio or during scheduled guest spots in New York.
5. Aftercare & Continuation
Aftercare guidance is provided to support proper healing and longevity. Like the tattoo itself, aftercare is part of the process, allowing the work to settle and evolve naturally. Some projects unfold over multiple sessions. Others are complete in one sitting. Each timeline is defined by the work.
A Shared Responsibility
Tattooing, in this context, is not a transaction. It is a shared commitment to creating something lasting, intentional, and personal. This process is best suited for collectors who value collaboration, patience, and individuality, who see tattooing as evolving expression rather than fixed outcome.
